Since its inception about 20 years ago, GCSC has long
been Taiwan's leading securities firm and top underwriter
of debt and equity securities. The Capital Markets Department
helps clients raise long-term capital by accessing domestic,
international and private markets.
For nearly two decades, Grand Cathay’s Capital
Markets Department and its team of dedicated professionals
have assisted clients in achieving their strategic and
financing objectives, helping them access capital markets
to finance long-term development, strengthen their financial
structures, and improve the overall efficiency and quality
of their operations. By the end of 2007, we had successfully
underwritten the listings of 191 companies on Taiwan’s
stock exchange and over-the-counter market, effectively
fulfilling our role as a bridge to capital markets for
our clients.
In 2007, we were the lead underwriter for the listings
of Davicom Semiconductor Inc., Tong Hsing Electronics
Industries, Ltd., Darfon Electronics Corp., Formosa
Advanced Technologies Co., Ltd. ,Thunder Tiger Corp.
and S-Tech Corp. We helped Hsin Yung Chien C0., Ltd.,
Lih Duo International Co., Ltd., King Slide Works Co.,Ltd.,
Shinkong Synthetic Fiber Corporation, YFC-BonEagle Electric
Co.,Ltd, Chilisin Electronics Corp., Rossmax International
Ltd., Taiwan Kolin Co.,Ltd. and Tatung Co. issue convertible
bonds domestically and acted as the domestic lead manager
in helping Taiwan Hon Chung Enterprise Co.,Ltd., Lih
Duo International Co., Kenly Precision Industrial Co.,
Ltd., Shinkong Synthetic Fiber Corporation, YFC-BonEagle
Electric Co.,Ltd., FSP Technology Inc. and Rossmax International
Ltd. to issue cash capital increase. We also helped
Innolux Display Corporation and Chunghwa Picture Tubes,
Ltd. to issue GDRs and ECBs respectively. Grand Cathay
also served as a financial adviser on domestic mergers
or spin-offs to AIPTEK International Inc., Hsinchu International
Bank, Gallant Precision Machine Co., Ltd., FSP Technology
