Set up in 1988, Grand Cathay Securities Corporation
(GCSC) is a fully integrated securities firm serving
the financial needs of institutions, corporations, government,
and individuals. It’s main lines of business encompass
securities brokerage, capital market, fixed income,
derivatives, proprietary trading, and register and transfer
agency services. Now we have expanded our operating
network to 23 locations across Taiwan with over 1,000
professionals dedicated to providing quality services.
From 1993 to 2003, GCSC further extended its financial services platform by establishing subsidiaries. Grand Cathay Futures Corporation (1993) offers full service futures and options trading on worldwide markets; Grand Cathay Investment Services Corporation (1994) provides comprehensive investment advisory and discretionary management services; Grand Cathay Securities Hong Kong Limited (2000) serves as an overseas platform providing brokerage, investment banking, and financial advisory services to investors in the greater China region; and Grand Cathay Managed Futures Corporation (2003) specializes in the placement of investor funds in professionally managed futures investment. These complementary lines of business have enabled GCSC to provide diversified financial services to its clients.
GCSC became the subsidiary of China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDFH) on November 8, 2002. This inclusion has substantially enhanced GCSC’s competitiveness as it allows GCSC to leverage CDFH’s group strength and resources. CDFH’s other main subsidiary, China Development Industrial Bank (CDIB) is Taiwan’s predominant market leader in direct investment and it also provides broad range of banking services to corporate clients. By closely co-operating and integrating with CDIB, GCSC is expected to create synergy and maximize shareholders' profits.
