Established in August 1994, Grand Cathay Investment Services Corporation (GCIS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GCSC. Its goal is to provide comprehensive and in-depth investment advisory services to institutional and individual clients investing in domestic stock market. GCIS believes the key components of sound investment strategies are balance, diversification and risk control in helping clients pursuing long-term and stable profits. GCIS has a group of experienced investment managers backed up with a strong research team excelling in market movement and industry knowledge.
GCIS is also among the first in Taiwan to obtain the license issued by the Securities & Futures Commission to provide discretionary management services. Through a discretionary account, clients’ assets will receive professional care and be managed in accordance with targeted financial objectives.
Established in April 1993, Grand Cathay Futures Corporation (GCFC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GCSC and the first futures broker in Taiwan. GCFC provides full service futures and options trading on 40 worldwide markets including the United States, Japan, England, France, Singapore and Australia etc. Its products cover agriculture, metal, energy, currency, interest rates, and stock indices.
In addition to brokerage and clearing services, GCFC established the Futures Advisory Division in 2003. This division provides market reports, trade recommendations, technical and fundamental analysis, and investor education to help its clients succeed in futures markets.
GCFC has also developed an integrated on-line trading platform (www.gcfc.com.tw) to enhance trading capabilities and efficiency. Grand Cathay Managed Futures Corporation (GCMF) was established in 2003 as a 100% owned subsidiary of GCSC and is the first managed futures company in Taiwan. Managed futures are portfolios managed entirely by professional and experienced money mangers to invest in commodities and futures markets.
GCMF devotes itself to the development of domestic futures markets. Its managed futures specialists design and structure customized portfolios uniquely tailored to each individual’s specific risk/profit objectives. GCMF’s goal is to expand asset management portfolio beyond traditional investments of stocks and bonds, and to offer clients opportunities to improve returns through globalized investment portfolios and diversified trading strategies.
Grand Cathay Securities (Hong Kong) Limited (GCSHK) was
established in 1997 as GCSC increased its international presence.
GCSHK serves as an overseas platform providing brokerage,
investment banking, and financial advisory services to individual
and institutional investors in the greater China region.
